Hello! My name is Courtney Mann and I have been part of the Cross family for 16 years, when my oldest child, Mason, started attending school here in Kindergarten. A couple of years later his little sister, Maddie, would join him in the hallways of a building that very quickly became home. God had a great surprise for me when I was blessed to join this amazing ministry team 10 years ago in the best role there could be, the Director of Enrollment. I am the first person who meets prospective families and gets to share with them all the wonderful things that take place within these walls. I am Michelle Rivera, the Director of Curriculum and Student Support Services. I am married to Matthew, and we are the proud parents of three wonderful girls. Our youngest daughters attend Cross Lutheran Church and School. We enjoy outdoor activities, travel, reading, family game night and watching sports. We are active members at St. Paul Lutheran Church here in New Braunfels and love both of our Lutheran church families! I have worked in education for over 20 years in the classroom and administration in early childhood and school settings. I have also taught classes at the community college level. I consider myself a lifelong learner and will always be a student at heart! I have an AAS in Child Development, BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, Master of Education in Teacher Leadership and am currently pursuing my PhD in Education, Leadership and Organization at Texas Woman’s University. My research interests focus on the effectiveness of teachers in their initial years of teaching and the educational outcomes of all students in classrooms that integrate children of all abilities. Hi, my name is Hannah Pickerill. I have been married to my husband for almost 12 years and we have a 4th grade and 2nd grade daughter who both attend Cross. We moved to New Braunfels in June 2022 to live closer to family, and we feel very blessed to have found Cross. I have my Master's degree in School Counseling from Azusa Pacific University and I am certified as a School Counselor through the state of Texas. I have over 10 years of experience in the field of education and over 6 years of experience in the counseling field. My husband Chad and I have two beautiful daughters, Cailin, who is 22 and is starting her senior year at TCU this year and Kylie who is 11 and is in the 6th grade here at Cross Lutheran. This is Kylie's 5th year at Cross. Our family fell in love with Cross, so I jumped at the chance to work here when it was presented to me two years ago. Our family lives on the Krause farm and we love raising our many animals. In my free time my family and I love to travel. We spend some time over the summer and holidays in Utah. We love to ski!!! We enjoying hunting and fishing together and you usually can find us at TCU football games when we have free weekends. Teaching is very special to me. I grew up as an MN Vikings fan in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. I enjoyed my time learning and growing at Zion Lutheran School from Kindergarten to 8th grade where I decided to become a Lutheran educator. Education was always a plan since my grandma was a 1st grade teacher in the public school system and would always pass down her old grade books and textbooks. But it was the teachers and Pastors at Zion Lutheran that put the joy of Lutheran education in my heart! I graduated from Concordia University, St. Paul, MN in 1998. I received my first call to Christ Lutheran School in Murray, UT. In Utah, I started as the 6th grade teacher, but throughout my 18 years in UT, I taught grades 6-8, the Athletic Director, Early Childhood Director, and Principal. Utah holds many great memories: I married Jeff in 2002. Jacob was born in 2006 and Carson in 2012. I received my Master of Education, emphasis in Science from Concordia University - Portland, OR in 2014. I received the Call to serve at Cross Lutheran Church and School in 2016. I love hands-on science and making science "fun" in the classroom. I love those moments when students want to come and just "hang out" in the classroom or just come back to say "hi". We are a family and I have been truly blessed by my family here at Cross. I'm Katti Henderson and I will be teaching Religion and providing enrichment and academic support this year. Teaching is more than a job to me, it is truly the ministry calling of my heart. I am thrilled to be a part of the Cross Lutheran teaching staff. I have vast experience teaching in both upper elementary and middle school. As a proud Aggie, I graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have three awesome kiddos who are also proud Cross Eagles. In my free time I enjoy running, reading, and enjoying coffee on my front porch with my family.
